Although our systems will allow you to do this it's not something we would advise as this can lead to file ownership/permissions issues further down the line. The best option would be to create hosting for the domain name and then create a subdomain within this package, you need only use the subdomain if that is all you want to host with Eco Web Hosting.
For example, if you have mywebsite.com hosted with another provider but they don't provider eCommerce options and you want to configure just the shop with ourselves under shop.mywebsite.com you can create the package for mywebsite.com and then use the hosting control panel to create that subdomain (see
this guide for details on how to do this). This way you will avoid potential issues with the site files and can use just the shop subdomain with the package.
